Swift

Swift came to us pregnant from a First Nations impound lot on August 11th, 2023. She was very underweight and it was very difficult to estimate her due date. To be on the safe side, she was separated from the others horses she arrived with to have more feed and her own quiet paddock. We’re glad we did that because she foaled on August 16th, only 5 days later! Finch, her foal, was a wonderful baby but sadly he became ill when he was just a week old.  We rushed him, along with Swift, to the vet but he passed away.  It was determined he likely had an underdeveloped intestinal tract.
Swift is now halterbroke and footbroke and friendly.
