Sponsor One of Our Residents

You probably have little room in your backyard or condo for a horse!  We offer a chance for you to participate in a rescue horse's life through our monthly sponsorship program.  Sponsoring a horse ("virtual fostering") is easy and makes a great gift.  You can gift yourself - or someone else - a sponsorship for $50 a month. Select any horse that you'd like to sponsor from the horses for adoption, foster horses, or permanent residents pages that are listed on our website.

You will receive a certificate with a write-up on the horse you have chosen to sponsor.  In addition, your name will appear on our website next to your sponsored horse's name.
When you sponsor a horse, this is what you help us do:
  • provide feed
  • provide shelter
  • provide horse blankets as needed
  • provide medical care
  • provide hoof trimming (farrier)

The Horses of Bear Valley Rescue

  • Any horse can be sponsored. (link downloads sponsorship form)

  • Horses for adoption tend to be sound and healthy and would make good riding prospects.

  • Horses for fostering usually have health or temperament issues or are not sound and are therefore suitable as companion animals or “pasture ornaments” only.

  • Permanent resident horses are ones that we do not ever anticipate moving from the Rescue, due to age or serious health or temperament issues, so they are only available for sponsoring.
