How You Can Help

At any given time, there are at least 150 horses residing at the Rescue.  Many of these horses come with specialized care requirements.  It is vital that the horses receive a reliable supply of quality feed and care.  This is the most expensive aspect of running the Rescue.

Although it can seem overwhelming, all you have to do is look one of these horses in the eye for just a moment and it becomes clear what a worthy cause this is!

Each year we need to raise at least $250,000 to cover the costs of caring for the horses.  Whether it is a one-time donation or a monthly contribution, every little bit counts!  Tax receipts can be issued for all monetary donations over $10 and for non-cash donations of items.  100% of your donation goes directly to the care of the animals and the running of the Rescue.

Our annual fundraising costs are only about 1% of our total budget and we do not use third-party fundraising.  We do not share or sell donor information.

During the summer months, we love to see our horses spend time out on pasture. If you have pasture in the Bergen, Water Valley, or Sundre area, the use of which  you are willing to donate, please contact us!
