Soldier

Soldier is a very kind, older, gelding, born about 1999.  He was abandoned where he was boarded and came into our care in April, 2025.  His hooves had been neglected so he needs corrective work to bring them back to where they need to be (under-run heels) and he has PPID (Cushings) so we've started him on daily medication for that.  Soldier is friendly, was likely well broke to ride though he hasn't been ridden in a while as far as we know.  He also had a bacterial skin condition before coming to us, which he recovered from, but he is underweight and is on twice daily mash.  We'll have his teeth done and then will know better what sort of future care he will require.
