Smoothie

Smoothie is a smaller, chestnut QH mare (Skippa Smooth True), born in 2006, part of a receivership sale through the auction in August, 2012.  We were told a previous owner bought her as a well broke horse but she bucked a couple of people off so she ended up a broodmare.  However she was only 6 years old when we got her so if this was a prior owner to the one who sold her at auction I'm not sure how well-broke one would expect a 4 or 5 year old horse to be.  She is shy but she is halter-broke, though she is not foot-broke.  Her 2013 foal, Flicka, from the same sale, was adopted and went to a new home.  Her 2010 foal, Salsa, who also came from the same sale, was adopted but had since been returned to us.  Sadly Salsa passed away in 2022 due to a fatal pasture accident.
