Rosalind is a chestnut grade mare that came to the rescue, pregnant, in April, 2025.  We were heartbroken when she lost her foal two weeks later.  The foal  was born with its umbilical cord around its neck and did not survive, and may have even died in utero.  Rosalind is unhandled, underweight, and was quite fearful but has started to settle and become curious and more friendly.
