Maggie #3

Maggie #3 was a young filly, probably born 2011, part of a starving herd that came to the Rescue in February, 2014.  She was painfully thin and developed abscesses and laminitis in her hind feet (the starving herd was being fed alfalfa hay in the impound lot).  She most likely had no handling prior to arriving here but right away I was able to halter her and poultice her feet, as well as deworm her and give her bute for the inflammation.  She is very sweet.  She had a scar on her nose as well when she arrived  which has since healed up.  She has recovered well and is bonded with Ivor.
