Khalil

Khalil is a senior Arab gelding that came to us from a local horse dealer's field in late August, 2020.   We purchased him and his friend, Alistair, for $100 each to prevent them shipping to slaughter.  Khalil was very underweight.  He has facial paralysis on his left side, likely from a stroke, and a heart  arrhythmia, which meant he wasn't healthy enough to be sedated for a dental float.  It is possible he won't be with us long due to his health issues but we're glad we can give him a more peaceful end than he was destined for.
Update Jan/21 - Khalil has gained a lot of weight and his facial paralysis is improving as well.
