Gustav

Gustav is a kind, older (born about 2006) grey gelding who came to us in 2020.  He was on a meat buyer's trailer and an impulse buy when he came here to drop of other horses that we'd bought from him (Ted, an extremely underweight Thoroughbred, Mona, a skinny, very neglected pony, and Esteban, a lovely bay gelding that was also an impulse save off the trailer)!  We didn't get any history on him but we did have him xrayed at the time, just in case, and his xrays were clear, so he was just a nice horse that someone got rid of in the worst possible way.  Gustav went to a foster home almost immediately, where he was company to Aero, a swaybacked mare that had been adopted from us.  They spent five years together at that foster home until the ageing owner gave them back to us as she could no longer provide proper care, and returned here in spring, 2025.
