Cecil
Cecil came to Bear Valley in 2008 as a weanling from auction. He is purebred Quarter Horse but we never got his registration application back from his previous home. He was a bi-lateral cryptorchid (neither testicle descended) and required a 3 hour surgery to be gelded. He also has moon-blindness, which is a recurring auto-immune disease, though he has been doing well and hasn't had an episode since his gelding surgery in 2011 . Cecil was fostered/adopted out for a short period in 2013 and came back in early 2014. He is about 15.2HH, is friendly, good to handle, halter- and foot-broke. He had a major abscess in one hind foot in 2011 that caused him to lose half his hoof but it has grown back well. We feel that stress can trigger his moon-blindness so that is something that needs to be monitored.
