Buster Brown

Buster Brown is a dwarf (28 1/2" tall) mini that came into our care in June, 2023, after his owner passed away.  In addition to leg deformity from his dwarfism, Buster's hooves were in horrible condition, very long and curled over. Buster wasn't able to walk properly as a result.  We immediately began work on cutting back his hooves but they've been neglected for so long that it is a long process.  His hooves are twisted due to the excess growth and even his elbows are crooked as he's tried to move while compensating for them.  This sort of neglect is horrendous and there is no excuse for it.
While we won't be able to correct his bone structure or a lot of the deformity, with regular trimming he is comfortable and able to move well.  We’ll continue working with our farrier and vet to improve his quality of life.
