Blizzard

Blizzard is an appaloosa gelding that was surrendered to the Rescue in 2011 when he started to go blind at 4 years of age.  He was born in 2007, is friendly and well handled, but can be excitable.  He is bonded with Kahlua, another of our blind horses that he shares a paddock with.  Blizzard injured one of his eyes during the summer of 2018, which resulted in him having to have a canula inserted under his eyelid so that the injury could be treated.  He did pretty well with that and his eye healed.  Blizzard is turning lighter each year so that he is almost pure white now.
