Belle#2

Belle#2 is a very pretty Quarter Horse mare that was surrendered to the Rescue in early October, 2024.  Belle was born about 2000, and came to us because her owner was elderly, in his 90's, and had entered hospital and was not excepted to recover.  His family contacted us asking us if we could take Belle in and we agreed to help.  Belle is very nice, friendly and kind, and broke to ride, though she hadn't been ridden in a number of years. When we picked her up she was a little underweight and had chipped and cracked hooves, scratches on her hind leg, and was a little lame on one front foot.  As soon as she arrived here we had her teeth done, and they were bad, with malocclusion, waves, hooks, and diastema.  The only plus was that she's not missing any teeth, yet.  With proper senior feed and her teeth done she's gaining weight and has settled in well.
